Bounce Magic has gone so far above and beyond to help us find Bunny that it melts my heart. They’ve posted about it on their facebook wall, the one worker there (Steve) stayed two hours after they closed on Wednesday night looking for Bunny, even after Eric was there for an hour and a half doing the same thing earlier in the day (with Steve’s help) and now they’re offering a free monthly pass as a reward!
Tomorrow they’re going to call all 45 people who came there on Wednesday to ask if they’ve seen Bunny or if someone accidentally “adopted” her. (You have to sign in and put your phone number down just in case when you get in.)
I really can’t believe there are still companies out there willing to go the extra mile like this. Evie loves her Bunny with her whole heart and I think Steve understood that. It helped that he told Eric about his own daughter and her well loved Teddy Bear, I think.
I hope someone has Bunny and they bring her back. I would love to see the joy on Evie’s face when she gets to see her again.
(Click through to check out their facebook page. This is the second post they published about Bunny and I -under Eric’s name- just put up two pictures so they know what to look for.)
They went to the bounce place and they were gone for a really long time so when they came back I expected Evie to run to me and give me hugs with a smile on her face but instead, I saw a sobbing Evie run through my door.
They lost her Bunny! My dad tried making it sound like it wasn’t his fault because “it’s hard to keep track of what she does with it” but that’s bullshit. She’s brought that Bunny everywhere she’s gone since she was born and we’ve never lost it. We know how much that Bunny means to her and so does he. He just didn’t remember to make sure she had it when they left.
They went back to look to no avail and he left his phone number in case they find it but Eric and I don’t trust the employees there to look very hard and I don’t trust that my dad did a good job either, so Eric just went back there. He’s going to search in ever crease and corner of that place.
She’s so sad and it’s breaking my heart. I want to cry too. That little Bunny is her best friend and now she’s gone. She keeps telling me she “feels bad” and then starts sobbing again. I hope Eric finds it because I don’t even want to think about the tears that will come at bedtime without her.
She’s been holding a picture of Bunny since she got home and every so often she looks down at it and cries.
She’s three. When you take her somewhere, you have to pay attention to her Bunny. It’s like she lost her best friend, her security blanket and her healer of boo-boos all at once.
God I hope he find it….
I had a great day! It was just Evie and I all day so we took advantage of it! We didn’t do much in the morning. We mostly hung around, consuming the Tim Hortons Eric brought home for us (which always makes for a great day). After her nap, we took a ride to Hobby Lobby where I got some things I needed to finish my first Tumblr Buddy package and everything ended up being on clearance or on sale so I didn’t even have to use the coupon!
I told Evie to pick out something and at first she wanted to get the things I was looking at. It was cute watching her pick out colorful yarn and neon green ribbon. I talked her out of those things and I told her that if she didn’t find anything she wanted, we could go to another store and get her a Littlest Pet Shop. She was adorable looking around, checking out toys and boxes (she loves little boxes and containers like I do.) I could see her little mind working and weighing if she’d rather have what she was looking at or the Pet Shop toy. She put down everything she found in favor of the LPS and she picked up a lot of things!
Eventually we started walking to the check out when she came across a soft little soccer ball. Her face lit up like a christmas tree! She ended up decided the ball was a better idea than the LPS in the end. (Side note: She makes me so proud when she tells the cashier thank you. She always does it but it always impresses me.)
Then! Oh man, then we went to Bounce Magic. It was so much fun for her! It’s basically an indoor arcade and bounce house managerie. There were five or six bounce houses and she ran around for a good two hours bouncing and playing and having a great time. I’m pretty sure she was in her heaven.
The cool thing about Bounce Magic is that there’s no time limit on how long you can be there and they’re open until 9pm. We could go there at noon when it opens, pay $8 for her and she can play all day. We’re definitely going to be spending a lot of time there in the winter when it’s hard to get as much exercise. They have all kinds of food there too, including coffee, so I’ll have no problem killing a day there. I’ll have to bring something to do though. If I wasn’t holding her drink, she wouldn’t have realized I was there. I tried to take pictures but she was going a mile a minute so she came out as a blur every time. The only thing that would make that place better is free wifi. I might mention that to them the next time we’re there. The parents would love it and I bet people would spend more time there.
Then I come home and I hear from my tumblr buddy?! This day was almost too much. I wish Eric could have spent it with us though. He’s off tomorrow and the flea market is looking like a go, so that should be fun.
Ok, time to work on my hearts!
