Can you talk to a neighbor about slipping them a couple bucks to use their signal occasionally?

No, not really because I don’t know who owns these signals. We have a huge appartment complex right next door so it could be anyone over there.

Luckily, disaster has been avoided and the cable/internet won’t be shut off! Eric managed to figure something out, so yay!

2sigma replied to your post: How often am I supposed to play with Evie?

You should put her to work! Just tell her how much fun the vacuum is; I’m sure she’ll be all over it. Or how about a game of Cinderella?

She’s afraid of the vacuum! lol The main problem is, she and I like totally different things. I like making things, painting with her, coloring, and she couldn’t care less about that. All she wants to do is force me to make stuffed animals or DVD boxes talk.

And she plays dress up by putting a headband over her eyes and fancy shoes on her feet. I would say she takes her pants off but this kid never wears pants so in order for me to say that, she’s have to have worn pants at some point in the day. lol I do like having a weird kid though.

2sigma asked: Purple, right back atcha!

Ten facts about my room… hmm…

Since my bedroom only has a bed and a dresser in it, and it’s only used for sleeping, I’m going to do ten facts about the room I’m *in*. (And as a side note, I didn’t realize you lived in NY too! We’re so (relatively) close to each other!)

10. My living room doubles as my office/craft room. I took over and entire wall because this is the only spot I could fit it all in. Evie has the big bedroom and I basically sleep in a closet.

9. I have a super ugly pink chair (just the color is ugly) that I fall asleep on in my area. It doesn’t tilt back enough so I usually end up folding myself in half. It’s as uncomfortable as it sounds.

8. We only paid for one piece of furniture in the entire living room and it’s the shelf I keep all my yarn on. Everything else was handed down. We won’t be getting anything new until Evie stops secreting dirt and sticky from her hands.

8. My cat sleeps on the back of my chair, just waiting for an opening to get to my lap. She has no qualms with sleeping on top of yarn or whatever else I’m working on.

7. Evie uses the TV stand as her personal desk, which means the TV is usually blocked by her toys.

6. Two out of our four walls are slanted because of the roof. It makes it impossible to hang anything on them or put any kind of furniture over 4 feet on those sides of the room.

5. Our couch unfolds into the world’s most uncomfortable bed.

4. We have a reclining chair that’s sole purpose is to serve as a plaything for Evie. She puts the foot board up and pretends her stuffed animals live under it.

3. We have baseboard heating and it’s nice except for how long it takes to heat up. The sound of the water rushing through the pipes reminds me of when I was little because the house I brew up in had the same kind of heat.

2. I use the same coffee/tea cup every day and it’s always sitting on my desk.

1. We have drag marks perpetually in the carpet from where Eric drags the one chair in front of the TV to play video games.

That was rough. It was really hard to think of 10 things. I apologize for doing that to you! haha

2sigma asked: How did you choose the name Evie?

As boring as it sounds, we picked it out of a book. We were planning on naming her Ava but a friend of ours had a baby and named her daughter that, which was a total coincidence. I knew I wanted a name that wasn’t common because I’ve always loved having a weird name but Eric didn’t want anything too off the wall. We really didn’t go through too many names before we found that one. When he read it aloud, we both kind of smiled and that was it!
